Meet Our Lead Pastor
Thanks for checking out The Well!
My name is Danny Lybarger, and I have the honor of serving as the Lead and founding pastor of this vibrant community called the Well. With a mission to raise up new generations of inclusive followers of Jesus, The Well focuses on creating safe spaces for those traditionally told "no" by the church, especially individuals within the LGBTQ+ community. Our vision is to foster curiosity over certainty, believing that faith should engage with life's toughest questions with compassion and theological insight.
My journey in ministry began with a BA in Christian Ministries from George Fox University, followed by a Master of Divinity from United Theological Seminary. I've served in small, medium and large churches in places like Oregon, Alabama and now Missouri. These experiences have shaped my approach to pastoring, emphasizing the importance of bridging the gap between faith and everyday life.
In addition to my role at The Well, I created and host a podcast called The Deconstruction Zone, which helps those wrestling with their journey of faith deconstruction, realize that they aren't alone. The podcast is a space where we tackle complex theological questions and explore the evolving nature of faith. I also maintain an active presence on social media, particularly on TikTok, where I loudly share the truth about how wildly inclusive the gospel of Jesus is.
I would love to personally invite you to join us at one of our services starting [9:00 AM or 10:45 AM]. I can't wait to meet you!

Meet Our Worship Pastor
Hi there! I’m Sadie Murbarger (a last name ending in -barger is not a requirement to work at the Well), and I’m so thrilled to be part of this amazing community at the Well as the pastor of Worship and Creativity. My heart is all about creating spaces where everyone feels seen, loved, and empowered to explore their faith in nuanced and meaningful ways. Generation Z, I believe, is precipice of a really exciting spiritual revival rooted in the inclusive and healing power of Christ. Whether it’s through worship, connecting with people, or diving into the bigger questions of life, I’m here for it all!
I graduated with an Associate’s degree in Bible and a Bachelor’s degree in Worship Ministry from Lincoln Christian University, and I hold a Master’s degree in Ministry Studies from Moody Theological Seminary. Some of my ecclesial passions revolve around seeing queer people and women find belonging in places they haven’t before, and I’m deeply committed to using those insights to help shape an inclusive, justice-centered community here at the Well.
When I’m not at the church, you can find me photographing weddings and families, traveling, or using my subscription to the local movie theater. I believe faith should be something we actively live out in our day-to-day, and I love encouraging others to take their next steps in their own unique journeys. If we haven’t met yet, let’s change that! I’d love to grab coffee or hop on a Zoom call to chat about life, faith, and everything in between. Can’t wait to get to know you better and I’d love to save you a seat at the 9 or 10:45 services!

Meet Our Executive Pastor
What’s up everybody!
My name is J.T. and I’m the Executive Pastor at The Well. In my role here, I oversee discipleship, ministry strategy, and church operations—all things I absolutely love! Prior to coming on staff, I served churches in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and St. Louis, and all those experiences served to prepare me for the kind of work I have the privilege of doing here.
I attended college right down the road at Lindenwood University where I earned a B.A. in Religion. I also earned my Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and am currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at Eden Theological Seminary. My academic research focuses on the ways our moral and theological commitments are affected by engaging with histories of racial oppression, and my first book, Extremists for Love: A Theological Introduction to the Struggle for Racial Justice in America, was published in August 2024 by Wipf and Stock Publishers. In addition to my role here at The Well, I also teach at Lindenwood in the philosophy and religion department and I’m pursuing ordination as a deacon in the UMC.
Needless to say, I’m so unbelievably excited to be on this journey with you all. If we haven’t had the opportunity to yet, let’s connect! I’d love to grab coffee or jump on a video chat and learn more about who you are, what God is doing in your life, and how we at The Well can be play a part in your story.
